Slektsforsking – Genealogy

Twitter could be a nice thing. You get a lot of information, all over. News, info about new resources, and links. How about links to new archives in US, Canada and other countries in the world. We are all looking for info, and our curiousity leeds us on.
I’d like this one RelativelyCurious Community Toolbar It’s even had Digitalarkivet, and DIS-Norges Gravstones included.
More to come I guess.

I came to this website because Skramstad is my family name. Does anyone know where it comes from? Those of us in the United States know so little about how we came to have this name.

    Can you help?

    Thanks in advance,

There are two places originally who has the farm name Skramstad; it is Aamot, Hedmark og Toten, Oppland. From wich you have the name, could only be figured out by searching your ancestors :) In any case good luck
